Andie (New England)·Dined on February 11, 2017My fiance and I were staying at the Renaissance Hotel & found the Public House both convenient and delicious. Visiting Providence in the midst of a cold winter left us uninterested in venturing too far from the hotel – fortunately, Public House is conveniently located inside the hotel & has a wide-variety of delicious food. The service, atmosphere, presentation, and food was excellent. We will definitely return to the Public House in the future – and highly recommend it to all in the area.Tags: Bar Seating, Good for Anniversaries, Romantic, Special OccasionWas this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood5ambience5service5value5

GSRehobo (San Francisco)·Dined on February 3, 2017We have eaten here several times, always just before a performance at the Vets. It's the only decent restaurant convenient to the auditorium, especially in winter when one doesn't want to walk far. Unfortunately, it's a really mediocre restaurant. The menu has barely changed in the time it's been open. The food is not at all inventive but rather totally predictable and no better than one could do at home. It's pretty expensive on top of that. One could get a much better meal for the same price at many Providence restaurants. The service is OK but certainly not spectacular. The best service is at the bar, where an excellent and efficient bartender makes very good cocktails.Tags: Pre/post TheatreWas this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood3ambience4service4value2

“Italian comfort food on Providence's East Side” Reviewed November 24, 2016 Although Italian in scope, the owner's Greek heritage is seen in the meze platter appetizer and several other dishes. Eggplant rollatini is tender and flavorful. Drinks are plentiful and creative, and the bar staff enjoys challenges. Helpful? 1 Thank Ecoguide_02840 Report

hland33 (New England)·Dined on January 25, 2017Public kitchen is, as it has always been for me, the perfect place to dine if you are headed over to the Veteran's Auditorium for a show. The food and service are great, the ambiance and decor is very comforting, and the location provided diners with a perfect place to eat before a show or after a long day of shopping at Providence Place. So enjoy, and stop by Public Kitchen.Tags: Good for a Date, Romantic, Fun, Good for Anniversaries, Good for BirthdaysWas this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood5ambience5service5value5
